Proxmox Backup is a private application operated solely by its owner. It uses Google OAuth to access the owner's Google Drive account for storing and managing encrypted Proxmox backup files.
The application accesses Google Drive files and related metadata as permitted by the OAuth permissions granted by the owner. It uploads, checks and may manage encrypted backup files in the owner's Drive account. It does not offer access to other users.
Backup content is encrypted locally before upload. The encrypted files are stored in the owner's Google Drive account. OAuth credentials and verification records are stored on the owner's own systems. The application does not sell personal information or share Google user data with third parties for advertising.
The owner controls backup retention and can delete backup files from Google Drive or revoke the application's access in Google Account settings.
